Park City, Utah, Rings in New Year With Major Winter Storm and Holiday Festivities

January 02, 2005 - Park City, Utah, is ringing in the New Year with an ongoing series of major winter storms expected to dump more than five feet of fresh powder at Park City's three world-class ski resorts- The Canyons Resort, Deer Valley Resort and Park City Mountain Resort.

Adding to the thrill of this week's back-to-back snowstorms is Deer Valley Resort's annual Torch Light Parade Dec. 30 and The Canyon Resort's New Year's celebrations, complete with fireworks and a live band Dec 31.

For the seventh year, Park City's Deer Valley Resort is also preparing to host the Freestyle International World Cup competition. This event will feature the world's best men's and women's freestyle aerialists and mogul skiers in a two-day competition Jan. 27-29, 2005. During those dates, Park City will also welcome the world's hottest stars and movie buffs to the annual Sundance Film Festival slated for Jan. 20-30.
