THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS ISSUED A
WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
LATE TUESDAY NIGHT FOR THE WASATCH MOUNTAINS AND WASATCH MOUNTAIN
VALLEYS.

ABUNDANT MOISTURE ASSOCIATED WITH AN APPROACHING PACIFIC STORM
SYSTEM WILL SPREAD ACROSS NORTHERN AREAS AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.
AS THIS MOISTURE SPREADS ACROSS THE AREA...SNOW IS EXPECTED TO
DEVELOP LATE TONIGHT...BECOMING HEAVY AT TIMES THROUGH THE DAY
TUESDAY. A COLD FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS STORM SYSTEM WILL
ARRIVE TUESDAY NIGHT...ENHANCING SNOWFALL ACROSS THE WASATCH
MOUNTAINS AND ADJACENT MOUNTAIN VALLEYS. BY EARLY WEDNESDAY
MORNING SNOWFALL TOTALS OF 18-24 INCHES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE
WASATCH MOUNTAINS...WITH 10-16 INCHES EXPECTED ACROSS THE WASATCH
MOUNTAIN VALLEYS.

A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR
SIGNIFICANT NEW SNOW...POSSIBLY COMBINED WITH STRONG WINDS.
