WILL ARRIVE THURSDAY.

TUESDAY MORNING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS ISSUED A
WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING.

THIS WATCH IS VALID FOR THE WASATCH MOUNTAIN VALLEYS AND ALL OF
THE MOUNTAINS OF THE WESTERN TWO-THIRDS OF UTAH.

A FAST MOVING PACIFIC STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO WESTERN UTAH
MONDAY. SNOW WILL LIKELY DEVELOP DURING THE EARLY AFTERNOON MONDAY
IN THE NORTHERN UTAH MOUNTAINS...MOVING INTO THE CENTRAL AND
SOUTHWEST MOUNTAINS BY LATE IN THE AFTERNOON. STRONG SOUTHWEST
WINDS WILL ACCOMPANY THE SNOW THROUGH EARLY MONDAY EVENING. A COLD
FRONT WILL THEN MOVE THROUGH THE AREA MONDAY NIGHT. THE WIND WILL
DECREASE AFTER THE FRONT PASSES BUT WITH HEAVY MOUNTAIN SNOW
CONTINUING THROUGH THE NIGHT.

WHILE THE EXACT TRACK OF THIS STORM IS UNCERTAIN...GENERALLY 6-12
INCHES OF SNOW IS LIKELY FOR THE WASATCH MOUNTAIN VALLEYS. ONE TO
TWO FEET OF NEW SNOW IS EXPECTED FOR THE HIGHER MOUNTAINS FROM THIS
FAST MOVING STORM. STRONG WINDS MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING COULD
FURTHER HAMPER TRAVEL DUE TO AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.
