.A WARM FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS NORTHERN UTAH ON FRIDAY...BRINGING A
MOIST AND MILD SOUTHWEST FLOW FOR LATE FRIDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.
COLDER AIR WILL ARRIVE SATURDAY NIGHT WITH LOWERING SNOW LEVELS.

THROUGH LATE SATURDAY NIGHT ABOVE 8000 FEET...

A WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH LATE SATURDAY NIGHT.

THIS WINTER STORM WATCH IS FOR THE WASATCH RANGE AND WESTERN
UINTA MOUNTAINS FOR ELEVATIONS ABOVE 8000 FEET.

SNOW WILL DEVELOP LATE FRIDAY MORNING AND INCREASE FRIDAY
AFTERNOON. PERIODS OF WET SNOW WILL OCCUR FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH
SATURDAY WITH A SNOW LEVEL NEAR 8000 FEET. ADDITIONAL HEAVY SNOW
IS POSSIBLE SATURDAY NIGHT WHEN SNOW LEVELS WILL LOWER TO 6000
FEET. IN ADDITION...SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL INCREASE FRIDAY NIGHT AND
SATURDAY. SOUTHWEST WINDS COULD GUST OVER 65 MPH ACROSS THE
MOUNTAIN RIDGES ON SATURDAY. WINDS WILL SHIFT TO THE NORTHWEST
LATE SATURDAY NIGHT.

SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL OF 1 TO 2 FEET IS POSSIBLE ABOVE 8000 FEET FROM
FRIDAY AFTERNOON TO EARLY SUNDAY MORNING IN THE WASATCH AND
WESTERN UINTA MOUNTAINS. STRONG WINDS WILL CREATE CONSIDERABLE
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW OVER EXPOSED AREAS AND THROUGH PASSES.

THIS WATCH MAY NEED TO BE EXPANDED INTO THE WASATCH PLATEAU AND
CENTRAL MOUNTAINS OF UTAH.

A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT
NEW SNOW...POSSIBLY COMBINED WITH STRONG WINDS. CONTINUE TO
MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS.
