...HEAVY SNOW WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 12 PM MST
TUESDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS ISSUED A HEAVY
SNOW WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO NOON TUESDAY.
THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

THIS HEAVY SNOW WARNING IS FOR THE WASATCH MOUNTAINS...THE WESTERN
UINTA MOUNTAINS AND THE WASATCH PLATEAU.

A COLD AND MOIST PACIFIC STORM WILL SPREAD SNOW INTO THE MOUNTAINS
OF NORTHERN AND CENTRAL UTAH TODAY. THE SNOW WILL THEN CONTINUE...HEAVY
AT TIMES...THROUGH TUESDAY. GENERALLY 10-20 INCHES OF NEW SNOW IS
LIKELY FOR THE HIGHER MOUNTAIN AREAS FROM THE WASATCH PLATEAU
NORTH BY LATE TUESDAY.

SOUTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST WINDS TODAY WILL CAUSE LOCAL BLOWING AND
DRIFTING SNOW. THE WINDS WILL DECREASE TONIGHT.

A HEAVY SNOW WARNING MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE
EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE FORECAST
THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. ONLY TRAVEL IN AN EMERGENCY. IF
YOU MUST...KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT...FOOD...AND WATER IN YOUR
VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.
